Asher, Macey, Felice, and my mancub, Baron. This was an evening spent at McConnell Springs.

Asher enjoys goin' sleddin' on our hill in the field.

Felice as she comes to the end of her ride, she prefers body sledding to using an actual sled.

Baron eats a mouthful of snow on his way down as Macey prepares for her next ride.

Mama's mancub enjoying the bubbles.....he was trying to be Santa......at least I know he got clean in that bath!

Eric, Macey, Felice, Nathan, Baron, and Asher going cavin' in a self-exploring cave at Dale Hollow State Resort Park.

Our sweet friends', baby man, and our beautiful Macey!
Macey and Asher showing their "I" boards they made for Friday school.

The Adorable Finchlings

There are many days in which you treasure being with the ones you love the most. Yesterday was one of those days. I got to spend the entire day having fun with my children, in spite of having many errands to take care of. Oh, and I'll get to the grocery this evening! We awoke early and met some friends in Frankfort to tour the Rebbeca-Ruth candy shop, can't resist home-made candy, especially the pulled cream candy! Then we were heading to the KY Military Museum, only to discover that it was closed for renovation! Determined to be adventerous, we ventured on to the KY History Museum. We toured the rotating exhibit about Abraham Lincoln and the History Museum. We lost Macey in a book about Abe! She plopped on the floor and was instantly transported back in time! The rest of us played with all the hands-on displays and games. We loved taking our pics in the foyer with the shadow displays! They had a beautiful dollhouse on display and of course, the girls want their sweet Dad to build one for them. We'll see how that goes. It was getting later in the day and we still had many errands, so off we went to Lexington. We stopped by our friends house and picked up our new script, that Mommy and Daddy wrote. My friend, Carrie typed it up for us, since we do not have a printer. It looks GREAT! The children got to enjoy some good play time with their friends. I had to get a new phone, so we went to the Sprint store and picked one out- you know the FREE one! The Finchlings thought it great fun to play like they were talking to people on the display phones, I'm sure they are the only ones who thought of this!!! We ended our day meeting sweet Daddy at the local Pizza Hut for their kid's-eat-free buffet. YUMMO! Then it was home to bed for some snuggle time.

My Lover, My Life, My Sir Laughs Alot!

This has been a wonderful weekend for me. I have just celebrated my 15th wedding anniversary, and boy, am I in love!!!!!! I have been privileged to be joined together as one, with the only person this side of eternity, who truly understands me. My heavenly Father was most gracious to me when He allowed our paths to cross in this life 24 years ago. I have been in awe of His grace, beauty, love, and yes, even His humor, as it has been displayed through my Lover. I am his Beloved and he is my Lover. I am not ashamed of the love I have for this exuberant man! I adore his passionate, visionary sense of being. I want to share a poem in which he wrote for me in honor of our anniversary. I will be posting many more at a later date.
Our Dance
By Steve Finch
It's the white dress and flowers,
The walk down the aisle,
The planning for hours,
Then our eyes meet and we smile.
Then it's step; together; step; together
Don't rush, just enjoy.
Step; together; step; together
One girl and one boy.
It's the diapers and feedings,
And nights without sleep.
The fevers and teethings,
The "he pulls to his feet".
And it's step; together; step; together;
Don't rush, just enjoy.
Step; together' step; together;
One girl with her boy.
It's the laundry and stain spots,
And the meals to be cooked,
Mini vans and parking lots,
And, "Don't forget to look".
Let's all step; together; step; together;
Don't rush, just enjoy.
Step; together; step; together;
Now two girls and two boys.
It's pajamas and bedtime,
And sweet "goodnight" kissin',
Then Mommy and Dad time,
As we hug in the kitchen.
And we step; together; step; together;
Don't rush, just enjoy.
Step; together; step; together;
Still one girl and boy.
There's not too much in this life that I do not enjoy, it seems I can find the joy in every situation with someone who loves me the way my Lover does. This has been the best "Dance" of my life. I am looking forward to many more years of "Dancing" with my Lover.
